The Atlantic City Rescue Mission Appeals for Funds
With bachelor’s degrees in both biochemistry and marketing & business administration, Brian Petruzzi is an entrepreneur who heads 1000 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria in New Jersey. In addition, Brian Petruzzi backs the Atlantic City Rescue Mission (ACRM), an organization that provides much-needed services to the homeless population of Atlantic City.
In May 2017, the ACRM put out an appeal to all of its supporters for help in raising $500,000 for refurbishing its kitchens and replacing worn-out equipment. Of particular concern is the organization's eight ovens, of which only two work, and its steamer, which has stopped working. Further, the ACRM’s pizza oven is quickly losing functionality, while its dishwasher is prone to malfunctions.
In addition to asking for donations from supporters, the ACRM will hold a fundraising gala with speakers that include the Philadelphia 76ers vice president of communications, Dave Sholler, and the acclaimed violinist and motivational speaker, Roddy Chong.
